Holidays planned last minute always ends up most expensive but the most exciting ones. For those who have already made their early booking, good for them because they will avoid the hustle of looking for tickets as well as accommodation. Mombasa and rest of the coastal town will get a fair share of local tourism. Our tourism Industry has suffered severely due to insecurity in our country and with the December Holidays this will bring much needed boost for our tourism sector. Not only the tourism sector will benefit from the December holidays but the transport sector will also have its fair share of cake since there will be a lot of traveling to various destinations within Kenya. To avoid having to pay lots of money for transport, a good suggestion for people is to book their tickets in advance. Some even go ahead and send their children first to their hometown to avoid the last minute rush.

The holidays bring lots of people together, friends are made and families are reunited but most of all people share. Because of the Kenyans busy schedule’s people don’t usually meet often as they would want. December Holidays make up for this lost times where relatives and friends manage to catch up with the events of the year. For others who are not so fortunate, during these holidays children help out the parents with chores while waiting for the festive times.

During this holiday it’s also important for the children to work together, bond and know the meaning of Family. In most cases you will find that families are made up of different age groups and each child comes with their own needs. Kenyan have different ways of fulfilling this needs and for most parents they always come up with a surprise holidays. And as the clock counts down, one thing for sure most of us will be happy that we saw an end of another year. Interesting enough most families still remain strong despite a year filled with sorrows, laughter, sorrows and happiness. At the end, this December holidays provide much needed relaxation before we start a new year.
