A Hustler’s Morning of Job Hunting (The Diary of a Hustler)

Waking up is a gift that we at times forget to be grateful for. Nobody can buy a good sleep and the ability to wake up however rich you are. Don’t forget to give thanks when you wake up, let it help you realize that life is a gift that you can’t be able to pay for.

The biggest job nowadays is the job hunting
For a young guy or lady straight from high school or college, life looks optimistic and each morning a ray of hope in what awaits you out there shines in your face each morning. You can’t wait to drop your CV everywhere you dreamt of working and building your career. You start spending more and more time on Google searching for sites you can upload your curriculum vitae and browse through job advertisements. Sometimes an urge to check through the daily classifieds maybe to catch something you might as well send an application.

At this point you are officially at the ‘compound’ where millions of young people are though it feels like you are alone; the job hunters club. Nothing else matters more than hustling for a job. You proclaim yourself a hustler and whoever you meet, you remind them to alert you just in case they heard something you can have. Final option is when you start looking for all relatives you know of and ask them to hook you up somewhere. Sometimes you have no relatives to ask.

Remembering to stay calm and remain optimistic will take you far. Don’t be too ambitious lest you will burn yourself out. Just play your part, submit where you need to, alert friends and relatives, and once you have done all, learn to be patient and prayerful. Remember, getting a job is a gift from God. Ask but remain patient. Watch your confessions, don’t confess negative to your expectations. Don’t say things like, ‘there are no jobs today unless you know someone somewhere’. You will close your own doors. In the meantime, open your eyes and look around you, there is something that you can start by doing whether it pays or not as you wait for your door to open. (to be continued…)
