Facing Tomorrow with Assurance

Count your blessings, God is not through with you, yet!

There are so many things that we all look forward to. We all have dreams, some have goals set in place and others have ideas but all these are in the future. We all know that there is a past, present and a future. We know about the past because we have been there, we know about the present because we are there but we don’t know about tomorrow because we haven’t been there yet.

It is easy to associate with the past because we know where we should have avoided and what we could have done to be safe. But that remains in the past and staying there will leave you stuck and stagnant because we don’t live toward yesterday but towards tomorrow. The uncertainty of tomorrow brings

fear to many of us. We don’t know how we will go through that situation or how it is going to turn out now that all hell has broken lose on you. You might be wondering what will happen if you lost that job or relationship or marriage or house.

It is not easy to look forward to the future with peace and happiness because our needs keep on multiplying; at first you just wanted a job, when you got it now you want a better pay, after that you want a friend, then a relationship then your own family, then your own company… the list never ends and that is why when we look at all these we start asking the question, “what if?”.

Take a minute and look back from where you came from; try five or ten years back. You had desires back then, most of which have changed now, and you had things you were looking forward to back then. Part of the future is the one you are living in now. There were times when you got in trouble with someone, either the police or parents or boss but you managed to have your way through. You had a relationship problem and no matter how big it was you still made it through. You might have lost a loved one and it was so dark back then but now you can smile.

If you made it this far, you can make it through anything else. No mountain too high for you to climb, no valley to deep for you to go through. There is no situation so difficult that you will not make it through. That is how God made our lives to be, full of ups and downs, different seasons, day and night, a time and season for everything. So if you are facing an uncertain tomorrow, you don’t have to be afraid. God will always make a way for you. 

There is an assurance for those that love God that everything works together for their good and whatever the enemy plans to use to hurt them, God turns it around for good. And for a life after you die, there is only one way to face that too, accept Christ’s gift of new life and you can face tomorrow because he lives forever more.
