Never before has a simple dress caused so much friction between families, friends and lovers. It started off with a simple question by Alana MacInnes and Caitlin McNeill, they asked whether a dress they had just seen was gold and white or blue and black. "Guys please help me - is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can't agree and we are freaking... out." In their panic and disagreement, they sought views from Tumblr, and then the debate blew up, it has been picked up by Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and several others.
There have been several scientific theories to explain why people are seeing different colors. These explanations range from optical illusions, perception, sunlight, and others, but still these explanations haven't slowed down debate. No matter how legit and scientific these theories have been to justify why people are seeing different colors, this is an extreme case, as there is a huge difference between black and gold and blue and white.
The debate has gone viral and even racked in celebrities, such as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In fact, while Kanye sees blue and black, Kim sees gold and white.
The original which is from Roman Original is actually blue and black, however the spokesman of Roman Originals are looking into making a white and gold version.
So what camp are you, team Gold and White or Black and Blue? Just remember, it is just a dress, there is no need for strife and anger.
