How to Disable Auto Playing Videos on Facebook {1.25-Minute Read}

The last time I checked Facebook was worth well over $200 billion-$201.6 billion, to be exact. That makes it the 22nd largest company. With that sum and the number of Facebook users you can be able to tell your worth but that’s a story for another day.
So where does all that money come from? Most of it is from ads. So it is only logical that Facebook will do whatever they can to attract as many advertisers as possible. To do this, they sell the latter your information. So the next time you hear someone complaining about how little Facebook cares about user privacy and experience, which has been seriously flawed by one of the recent features: video autoplaying.
You might have noticed that instead of clicking on a video it automatically plays. In this, Facebook hopes to attract your attention. Again, this works well for advertisers. But, if you are like me, you will want to have to click on a video you want to watch.
So here’s how to get rid of that extra help:
                               i.          On the far-right of your computer screen is an arrow. Click on it then on “Settings”.
     ii.          You will see several options. Click on “Videos” button on the left column.
   iii.          There’s a drop-down arrow adjacent to “Auto-Play Videos”. Set it “Off”.
Your news feed is now clean of video clutter. Watch what you want when you want to.
