1 Terabyte per second? The FUTURE is Here!

Recently, UK researchers from the 5G Innovation Center at the University of Surrey set a new world record of 5G speed of an astounding 1 terabit per  second. Previously, the fastest was 7.GB per second. With these sorts of speeds, there is no end to what we can now, download and streaming would never ever be the same again. Imagine this, with speeds of just 1Gbps, you could download a high definition in under a minute. So just imagine 1Tbps, you could download the possibilities are endless, like you could download all the 5 seasons of Breaking Bad in under 30 seconds; quite mind-blowing. Of course this technology is in testing and nowhere close for actual use, however there is hope that by 2020, it will be a reality.

Momentarily no mobile device can accommodate that speed without blowing up, so perhaps by 2020, the world will have produced mobile devices to put up with such speeds. Currently, SandDisk SD memory has the largest storage space available to consumers; a whooping 512GB and even that is not enough.

As more and more countries join the race to produce 5G, the fifth generation mobile network, it is obvious that by the time it finally arrives it will transform the technological arena.
So, cross your fingers until then, the next generation of mobile usage is bound to be extraordinary; stuff you only ever see in Sci-fi movies.
