You are reading but what are you reading?
So apparently Kenya has a poor reading culture, I would like to differ yes we do have a reading culture question is what are we reading?
Yes our reading culture is quite interesting, an average Kenyan would rather read tabloids and blossips rather than read a book or take the newspaper and read actual news.
Our newspapers carry more than just entertainment news from our magazines and newspapers can teach you one or two things about healthy living, inspire us, and spark our creative minds. For us who are lazy to read books there is hope for us in magazines, newspapers, and informative blogs.

I am sure the person writing that book or that newspaper piece was not just writing for the sake of it or for the sake of earning money (Except for tabloids whose sole mission is to spark controversy). The writer wanted to pass a message to the reader with the hope that the reader will react to this information. Day in day out magazines and newspapers are published in fact some do even go as far as allow for feedback to allow you express your displeasure or satisfaction on a certain issue or topic.
So don't just read it take the message and act on it.
