Have You read your Bible?

While on an interview with Oprah last year; Kevin Hart, a popular  American stand up comedian, tell of how he started out after convincing his mother to help him out. His mother did agree to help him with the rent for one year; after six months he hadn't paid his rent, almost being evicted, and no rent from mom. He turns to his mum who had only one question for him "Have you read your Bible?"

The story is quite similar to what many of us have heard before of a boy who had asked his wealthy father for a specific kind of car as a graduation present. On his graduation his dad gave him a Bible, angry and disappointed he leaves home asking himself "with all that dad has all he could give me is a Bible?" Years go by and his father passes on, finally he decides to open the Bible and on opening it was the key to the specific car he had asked for and the address to where to pick it.
Now many of us we are like that with our Heavenly Father we ask from Him so much yet we don't want to listen to Him, where He communicates to us; in the Bible.
Your Bible today may not have rent, keys to a car you want or a cheque to start a business that you want to start but it does have more that that.
The Bible:

• Has healing
• Has your promises fulfilled
• It is the only book that actually tells you of how much God loves you and how much He does care for us.
