How to Write a Good Article-Part 1

“I can’t lie and say there are no bad writers. Sorry, but there are lots of bad writers”-Stephen King, On Writing.

Unfortunately, that’s so true. Not everyone holds a pen or sits in front of a computer and comes up with an article (or book) that’ll catch and maintain the reader’s attention.
In writing a good article, it’s important to know that the “good” is defined by the reader. Not you. It’s never been about you. It’s always about the reader. This may be different for books and writing for fun. But for articles, you have to focus on your audience. Always. So how do you write that article that your reader will read to the end without feeling like they need to be out fishing or doing anything else but reading it?
  ü Have a Pre-Determined Purpose in Mind
Otherwise, do something else.
Before you begin writing you’ll need to have a clear objective set. What do you want your audience to know? Do you want them to laugh and be glad that you were born? Do you want to increase traffic on your website? Or do you want to convert the reader to a customer?

You have to know why you’re writing. This means that at the end of it all you’ll have to compare the results to the input. You can’t do that if you lack a goal in the first place.
