Many a times, majority of men hunting on the internet for that beautiful girl are not going to be very honest with their true profile, they might be hooked up but they will say they are single. same applies to the lady and trust me, internet makes you feel very brave and after all you don't have anything to lose.
Relationships started online tend to pick up very fast as you two have not seen each other face to face so whatever you say or present is carefully designed to be suitable for the ear of the innocent or not so innocent person on the receiving end.
