FIFA Rankings: Kenya is up by a single position

Kenya has moved up one position in the latest release of FIFA Rankings, moving from position 118 to position 117 in the rankings released on Thursday 9 March.
The improvement has also been reflected in the continent with Kenya up to the 34th position from the 37th position it held in last month's rankings. 
Their opponents in Group E of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers, Congo, Zambia and Guinea Bissau are placed in the 49th, 59th and 131st position globally respectively while Ethiopia, whom they face in the 2016 CHAN first round qualifiers are position 101.

In CECAFA, Kenya is behind Uganda (72), Rwanda (74), Ethiopia (101), Tanzania (107), Sudan (110). Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the top five teams in Africa.
