Make Physical Health a Priority

I love working out such that at times I have withdrawal symptoms when I don't work out e.g. painful thighs due to intense squats the previous day and missing the next. The WHO recommends that we do at least 150 minutes of physical activity a week in their Global Action plan to reduce lifestyle diseases by 2025.
Interesting especially for us who have office jobs and have busy dealing with bad traffic; workable for some people but well for some of us our schedules are way too tight to do such. But thank God for technology now there are apps to help you with your physical activities.
Achieving this is not as hard as we think it is;

  •  working the whole day at some point you will have to visit the "little girls' room" while there don't just do your business do some squats, and for those of us who take a lot of water we sort do visit the ladies quite often.
  • For those of us who drive scrape off taking the lift to the office take the stairs instead though I am not saying that you start taking stairs to the 10th or 15th floor from day one but start by taking baby steps one flight of stairs at a time.
  • While sitting on your chair take what I would like to call stretch breaks and stretch a bit. Walk instead of driving to work or taking a matatu to work, if it is a long distant do half of it or cover some distance.
So you think it is still not achievable? Keeping fit doesn't require a gym (although going to the gym is good too) or some heavy equipment. Use your body to benefit itself.

Have a fitful productive day.
